Question and Answers

Q:

How can I hook up spark modular for my range model fgf316wgsg if it does no have one (I purchased it used) FGF316WGSG Frigidaire Gas range

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your range and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number fgf316wgsg and does list a spark module part number 5303912606 and is item 8 in the burner section . The voltage supply from the bank of switches on each burner valves will connect the terminal marked "L" for line. This wire is could be RED or BLACK. The Nuetral wire which is normally WHITE will connect to terminal "N" for neutral. The other two terminals, 1 and 2 will connect to the spark electrodes for the burners. The wires connecting to terminals 1 and 2 will generally have a thicker wire insulation or feel more like rubber. I hope this information helps with your installation. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information. I hope this information helps you. If you feel you can not make the repair contact a service technician

Q:

oven does not light FGF316WGSG Frigidaire Gas range

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, the oven bake igniter is too weak to pull enough current/amperage to open the gas valve.

Remove and replace the bake igniter and your oven will ignite. The igniter can be ordered from Searspartsdirect.com

The bake igniter is part #5303935066 for Frigidaire gas range model FGF316WGSG.

To access the bake igniter, remove the oven racks, the oven floor and the flame spreader. Remove the two screws at the back of the oven floor. Lift the back of the oven floor up and slide it out from under the front of the frame and remove. Remove the nut in the middle of the flame spreader and lift the flame spreader off. You now have access to the igniter and wires. You can cut the wires off near the old igniter and use the ceramic wire nuts to slice the wire back to the two existing wires. NOTE: Disconnect the range from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
