Instructions for Installing a Electronic Control Board FFU14F5HWB

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with yourfreezer. Upon researching model FFU14F5HWB; unplug the freezer power cord, using a putty knife pry the control board on the door from the sides enough to lift the control board off so you can remove it with your hands. Then just connect the new one in place. It’s recommended to put tape on the putty knife blade so you don’t scratch your freezer door.

I trust this information will help you, have a great day.

Q:

Replacing upright freezer gasket. FFU14F5HWB Frigidaire Freezer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with freezer. Upon researching model FFU14F5HWB; you’re going to want to remove the panel first. Look at the gasket you take off to compare them. I don’t recall seeing the freezer gasket having holes in it. It should have a groove it fits into behind the panel.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the ice building up in the freezer. To put this freezer into the defrost cycle, depress the Alarm Pad and Quick Freeze for 5 to 10 seconds. It is the same method to terminate a defrost cycle also. When in the defrost cycle if you can hear a sizzling sound inside the freezer after a few minutes, it means the heating element is working. In this case, the control would need to be replaced. If nothing happens some voltage and resistance checks will probably need to be made. a technician may be needed to make these checks. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.
