I know that it can be confusing when you are installing new features on the refrigerator. This model has two different types and the manual does describe both. You will have either an wire signal arm or an on/off switch. However, after some research I found that you only have the wire signal arm. This is the metal arm that moves up and down on the ice maker. If it is in the up position it's off, the down position is on. I hope this helps.
