Thank you for your question.  Lightning hits can cause considerable damage to home appliances.  I can appreciate thinking that replacing the control may get the dishwasher working again. The problem is that there are several electrical components that may be affected. Replacing the control without checking those components may cause the control to be damaged again. I am assuming the breaker and fuse has been checked.  Under the dishwasher is an electrical junction box that also should be examined and tested. Repair or replacement of wire fasteners in the junction box may be needed. In addition to the control board; the motor, the door switch, and the touch pad circuit may be damaged. I highly recommend having a technician visit to thoroughly evaluate all the components.  The technician can provide an estimate of the parts and repair costs. Depending on the damage, a new dishwasher might be the better choice. You may want to check your home owner policy.  This may be covered.  You can schedule a Sears technician at Sears Home Services. If further assistance is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.
