Question and Answers

oven won't shut off FEFL77ABF Frigidaire Electric range

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears
I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the range.
Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Frigidaire Range model number FEFL77ABF.
Sounds like the element is or has gone bad.   I would test both the upper broil and lower bake element.

1.  Unplug the oven from the wall outlet.
2.  Remove the racks from inside when you have the oven door opened.
3.  The elements have a screw on each side and need to remove the screws and pull the wires from the
    elements out.
4.  Turn the dial on a multimeter to Rx1k.  Place one lead from the meter on the terminal at the end
of the element, then place the other lead on the end of the other termial.  The needle on the
multimeter should register between 19 and 115 ohms.  Replace the element if no reading registers
    on the meter.
5.  If the elements are good then take the meter and test both wires that you hook to the bake/broil
Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I hope we can help you with your future questions and repairs.  Thank you for choosing Sears and using our

Clock Frame Sold separately? FEFL77ABF Frigidaire Electric range

Thank you for the inquiry and for using

I am sorry to hear of the broken tabs on the electronic control board/clock, I know how frustrating that must be.

Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't offer the plastic exterior of the board singly, it's only offered in conjunction with the board as one complete part. If the part was broken down further, it would have illustrated it on the parts explosion with separate numbers pointing to the various parts. Electronic control boards/clocks are pretty universally offered as a complete part and not broken down by the manufacturers.

The only other option I could foresee would be to attempt to fabricate a holder outside of the plastic tabs if you wanted to get around paying the $158 for a new board. You have nothing to lose at this point in doing so, hopefully you can get it to work. If not, I have provided a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to the PartsDirect page to purchase the board if needed.
