Thank you for your question on the substitute burner switch.

If no instructions came with the new switch it may have the same connections but in different locations.

Usually if is that different it will have instructions packed with it.

L1 and L2 and H1 and H2 and so on for the switches are the same but may be in different locations from the old one.

Try to identify whether it has the same terminals or if they are completely different.

I would suggest doing one wire at a time when replacing the switch.

Please tell me what you are finding that may be different and I will continue to help you if you need it.

If you can take a picture of the back of both switches it would be helpful.
