Q:

BAKING ELEMENT EXPLODED FEF368GBD Frigidaire Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your range. Upon researching model FEF368GBD; it sounds like the electronic control board may have failed. The control board governs the functions of the oven so when it fails it can cause the control board not to activate the bake element even if other components are still working. I have posted a link of the element to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

baking element exploded FEF368GBD Frigidaire Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your range. Upon researching model FEF368GBD; you can unplug the range power cord and remove the heating element and the oven temperature probe when the oven is not hot. With the parts removed you can test the parts for continuity using a multi meter, if any of the two parts test reads no continuity then that part may need to be replaced. If both of the parts test reads continuity then you may need to replace the electronic control board.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Thank you for your response. Is it possible that only the baking control on the electronic control board can be damaged? As stated previously the stovetop works fine, the electronic clock works fine, the broil element/electronic control works fine and indeed when you push the bake button on the electronic control it lights up and you can set the temp as usual. The new element simply is not heating up. If the bake electronic control was damaged would the board light up when pushed and allow temperature set?
