Q:

Why won't the oven element that I replaced heat on my Frigidaire oven?

Ovens are one of the most important and used appliances in the home. Home cooked food is great. It can definitely be frustrating when you replace a part and it does not work. Thank you for your question. I know it can be frustrating when the oven stops working. If the broil element is working, a good check will be to reverse the wires on the control. First disconnect the power and then reverse the wires on the (BK) and (BR) terminals. Reconnect the power and set the control to broil. If the bake element heats now, the control # 316207505 will need to be replaced. The control is available at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/316207505/0022/628?pathTaken=directMatch&filterPart=&pop=flush&prst=0&shdPart=316207505&sid=MMLxexpertxmerch . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
