Question and Answers

Q:

Need to replace more? FEF352AWG Frigidaire Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. Thank you for your question. I Am sorry to hear that your lower bake element did such a thing. I am just glad no one was injured in the process. The only other thing I do recommend checking is the oven temperature probe. It is possible that the probe was unable to read the temperature of the element causing that element to get too hot and "blowing up".

I have included a video that shows you how to check the oven sensor. You can click here for that video.

If you do not feel comfortable making the repair yourself, I recommend a technician go out to your home.
If you would like a Sears technician to complete the repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663.

I hope this helps you. Have a great day!

Thank you for your question.

Not having your oven working is very inconvenient.

  • It is not that difficult and I think that if you have some mechanical ability, you can do this with some instruction. You will need some basic tools. A Phillips screw driver a 1/4 nut driver.

  • First REMOVE POWER to the range by flipping the circuit breaker for the range off or unplug from the electric receptacle behind the range.

  • Pull the range out from the wall so you can access the rear upper back cover. Locate and remove the screws that secures the top cover to the range.

  • Locate the Oven Range control panel in the console and remove the 4 screws that holds it to the console.

Note! The key pad may come out with the control and may have to be separated from the control to be put on the new control.

  • With the new Control in your han replace wire connection plugs one at a time.

  • Install the new control and position the key pad in front of the control in the control panel, and re-install the screws that holds the oven control to the control panel.

  • Re-install the back panel and test operation.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thanks for this info. I purchased the panel and my husband just put it in today. Had a little trouble with one of the wires but it is up and running as usual now. Thanks again.

Q:

where does the foil tape go on my oven door

A:

The foil tape fits up in the upper two corners and one piece across the two as shown in the image below. See key numbers 14 and 14A. The foil should fit in the same places as the original foil.
