Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, when it sparked it likely tripped one of the two house circuit breakers dedicated for the range. Before resetting both circuit breakers, disconnect the power cord from the power source remove the panel from behind the control panel and remove the terminal block cover where the power cord attaches and check for any loose or disconnected wires that may have shorted to ground. Look for any signs of blackened or burnt wire connections. If all the wires appear Okay, connect the power cord and locate the two house circuit breakers dedicated for the range. Reset both circuit breakers by flipping them both off and on 2-3 times and then see if the range will operate normally.
