I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your range. Your symptoms indicate that you have a stuck contact on one of the burner switches. Each of the burner switches have a contact (P or 4 on the double burner) that normally send voltage to that Element On light when a burner is turned on. One of those contacts is stuck so that the Element On light is constantly getting voltage. You may be able to determine which burner switch needs to be replaced by a process of elimination. I would suggest that you have technician do this for you. If you would like to schedule service, just click on this link: Sears Home Services.  If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details; the electronic oven control/clock assembly has failed. Before replacing the oven control; check the bake and broil elements inside the oven cavity for any signs of cracks or blisters. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before checking the bake and broil elements. If one of the two oven elements has shorted out, it can take out the new control board. If one of the elements appears to have shorted, replace the element before installing the new oven control or it cause the new control to fail.

The electronic oven control #316455400 for model FEF336ECJ can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct. To access and replace the electronic oven control; remove the panel behind the console. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the rear panel from behind the console.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
