Q:

Dehumider does not start. Power light is blinking. FDL60P11 Frigidaire Dehumidifier

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dehumidifier is not working. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

1) Collection bucket is full; 2: Collection bucket is not seated properly; 3) Air is already de-humidified to selected setting (set to continuous to have it on all the time); 4)Relay board is bad and will need to be serviced.

Thank you for your question. Usually these units drain well into the bucket and have issues with the drain hose. This is unusual.  Check to see if the bucket full indicator light is on. If it is, the bucket will not fill. Verify the bucket is situated correctly in the unit. The cap (when first removed) is usually inserted into the collection tray inside the front of the unit, above the bucket. Check there before ordering a new one. The manual is a good place to verify connections and instructions for connecting or disconnecting a drain hose. Check to make sure the unit is level so that it drains into the collector correctly. You can remove the back cover to see if there is a clog that restricts the drain hole to the bucket. As to the button, the hose should be able to fit if the drain cap has been removed. If you remove the back, check the bracket at the drain hole. If it is loose, that may be the issue. If you do need to take the dehumidifier to a service center, you can find one at Sears Home Services. Thank youi for using Manage My Life.
