Q:

How do I install a new Heating element? FDBB945DC0 Frigidaire Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You shouldn't have to remove the dishwasher to replace the heating element if can you see and access the brass nuts securing the heating element after removing the lower access panels. If you cannot access the brass heater nuts from under the front of the dishwasher, the dishwasher would then need to be removed and placed over on its back.

Remove the screws securing the kick plate and toe plate from under the door. After removing the kick plate and toe plate, look up under the front of the tub and you should see where the heater fits down through the tub and wires and the end of the heater terminals. Disconnect the two wires and then remove the brass nuts. Open the door and lift the heating element up and out. Reverse the procedure to install the new element. If the new heating element does not come with the brass nuts, you can use the original brass nuts but inspect them first for an cracks. If the heater mounting nut is cracked, it should be replaced.

The part number of the heating element mounting nuts is part # 154106202 which can be ordered from Searpartsdirect.com

NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
