I know that it can be very frustrating to have issue with your dishwasher. According to the information we have this issue is caused when the control board sees the door switch as open. If you still get the same error with the door switch jumped, you will need to check the wiring and connections. Sometimes when dealing with electronics we have to use the process of elimination. There are no checks that we can perform to check this function of the control, we can just test the door switch and wiring. If they seem to be functional then one must assume it is a control issue. With that being said, be sure the door switch does not intermittently loose connection with functional vibration. Then, I recommend ohming the wires between the control and door switch. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

You say the child lock light is turned on and nothing will select.

Not being able to select options and or cycles is normal for the control lock feature.

To unlock the child lock press and hold the "Heated Dry" keypad till, and it may be several seconds, until the light goes out.

If the "Heated Dry" keypad doesn't respond then likely there is a stuck or shorted keypad and the control panel 154662503 will have to be replaced.

The control panel can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

The dishwasher has a set up that is more complicated that most brands. There is the control panel to consider and also a selector switch that fits behind the console that might be at fault.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this information is helpful to you. You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.
