Q:

Dishwasher not cleaning

A:

Sounds like we need to provide your unit with some TLC. If it's not draining it may well be the drain pump filter needs cleaning. I provided a short video that will address how to do this in the second link provided below. The first link will focus on the unit not cleaning properly and what may be responsible for this. Review these links while you wait for our expert team to respond to you. I hope this helps you and have a nice day.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues your dishwasher. There are many things that can cause the dishwasher to stop cleaning properly. However, your problem is that the dishwasher is not draining. This will keep circulating the dirty water in the unit. I would suggest you begin by checking the sink drain and the air gap on the sink (if you have an air gap installed on the drain line). If you find no problems with those issues, I recommend that you check the drain line for kinks or clogs. You can pull the drain line off of the garbage disposal or sink drain and place the end of that hose in a bucket. Fill the dishwasher and then run the drain pump to see if it will drain properly into the bucket. If not, then you have a problem with that drain line or the drain pump. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing internal components or pulling that dishwasher out from under the counter. If the drain line is okay, then you may need to replace that drain pump if it is running in the drain mode. You can view and order parts from the Sears Parts Direct website. If you need more help, reply with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
