Q:

Water Leak FDB520RHB2 Frigidaire Dishwasher

Q:

frigidaire dishwasher model# FDB520RHB2 FDB520RHB2

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear that the dishwasher is not completing a cycle. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

Installed parts are non-returnable, so we would recommend diagnosing the issue before ordering any parts. The electronic control would be an expensive part to take a chance on. There could also be a heating issue causing the cycle to stall.

First you will want to verify the dishwasher is heating the water. At the end of the cycle the dishes should almost be too hot to pick up with bare hands. If the water is not being heated then the dishwasher will not finish the cycle. There should be a water heat thermostat that closes the circuit to advance the cycle. The water heat thermostat is different from most thermostats in that it has an open circuit that closes when the water reaches the wash temperature. Try to verify the water is being heated. You can also check if the element works in the dry part of the cycle. If everything appears to be working with the heating circuit, it could be an issue with the board.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
