Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. The CL error code indicates to close and latch the door. Make sure the door is securely closed. Close it a little harder than usual. If this does not correct the issue, there will be an issue with the door switch/latch assembly (154529403) and it will need to be checked. If you have an ohms/volt meter you or your tenant can make these checks to verify the part. the door switch you can test it with an ohmmeter. Remove all power from the unit before performing any test or repairs. Then remove the wires from the door switch (image below). Set you meter to ohms and close the door of the dishwasher. Place one lead on each of the terminals that the black wire came from. You should get a reading of zero ohms for both the black and white wire. Test the wires separately to get an accurate reading. If you get a reading other than zero ohms, then replace the assembly. If it's good, then you could be experiencing a control board (154470603) issue. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If the lights are flashing on the dishwasher but the unit will not start, there may be a problem with the door not making connection and sending the right signal to the control panel. It may also be a problem with the control panel itself. This will require diagnostic tests to find the root cause. I highly recommend having a technician make these checks and repairs. You can schedule a Sears technician here; Sears Home Services .

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your dishwasher.

This is an issue I have seen quite often. You mention that the door switch is good but at some point in the cycle the door switch stops making contact. The dishwasher will continue to run when the cycle was momentarily interrupted.

Here is a link that you may use to purchase the Door Latch .

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Hi Jeremy, According to the information we have this issue is caused when the control board sees the door switch as open. If you still get the same error with the door switch jumped, you will need to check the wiring and connections. Sometimes when dealing with electronics we have to use the process of elimination. There are no checks that we can perform to check this function of the control, we can just test the door switch and wiring. If they seem to be functional then one must assume it is a control issue. With that being said, be sure the door switch does not intermittently loose connection with functional vibration. Then, I recommend ohming the wires between the control and door switch. I have included a link below that you may use to purchase parts if needed. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. Thanks again for using Manage My Life. Landell
