I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dishwasher. First, I need to inform you that this dishwasher will only pump water out of one spray arm at a time. The lower and upper spray arms alternate in operation. This is accomplished by a check ball under the volute down in the sump. They do this to save water and energy. If you noticed the dishwasher does not fill with much water either. It needs just enough water to pump water out of one spray arm at a time. So it's important to have a minimum of 120 degree water filling into the tub. Do not use too much detergent to prevent over sudsing. The heating element must be working properly too in order to heat the water during the thermal holds. It could be a problem with the wash motor or heater if there are no restrictions. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I to have the FDB1050REC0 - It seems that my unit pumps in and out water, but there is no heat or hotness coming from my dishwasher, even if I use heated dry, the dishwasher is not getting hot, I have tried running my hot water before I run the dishwasher to insure that the dishwasher is pumping hot water in when its time to clean, but I am still winding up with no-cleaned dishes. I would need to know what parts would need to be replaced on this unit. I have looked on searspartsdirect, and found the heating element part #154247601, an the thermostat unit part #154290204. Any suggestions or recommendations about this unit before I just start replacing parts?

The heating circuit consist of the control board, hi-limit thermostat and element. The thermostat and element can be checked for continuity if a meter is available. If a meter is not available then it will be difficult to confirm the source of the problem. It would be best to schedule service at the link below. Please let me know if there is anything else you need. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I stripped the connector and reattached it, dishwasher heats and works fine now. It seems to leak a little from that connector, its got this little light bulb looking brass connector, any idea as how to get that seal nice and water tight?

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, it could have a intermittent wire connection on the control board or it could have a intermittent door switch operation or a loose connection between the door switches and the control board. If both door switches are closing and completing the circuit to the control board, I suspect a faulty electronic control board. I would disconnect and reconnect all the wire connections on the door switches and control board and then see if will operate normally. You should also check the door switch operation with an Ohm meter for continuity to make sure that both door switches are closing when the door is latched. NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power source before removing the control panel and the front door panel.

I added an image below with the procedure of accessing the control board and door switches.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

The status lights will flash if the door is not closed or if it faulty door switch. Based on your symptom and details it sounds like it may have a faulty door switch or door latch. I added an image below with the display codes.
