Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the freezer lid. Normally, when one of the corners does not seal, it will be a problem with the door getting bowed out of shape. When this happens, the door will have to be bowed back. Sometimes adjusting the hinge assembly will help but it's rare. A hinge problem will usually cause a large portion of the door not to seal. First, try bowing the door and if it does not help, then try adjusting the hinge assembly, although there is not much adjustment there. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Jenny, the only adjustment on the hinge will be to raise or lower it. In this case, it will most likely need to be raised, on the same side the lid wont close. The holes on the hinge are elongated to make this adjustment. Loosen the bolts (do not remove them) holding the hinge to the cabinet and the hinge can be raised or lowered. Now, as stated previously, it's a very small adjustment but it may be all that is necessary. I hope this will help you.
