I am sorry to hear about the problem that you are having with your Hoover Power Steamer Model F5815.

It is difficult to anticipate the cause of the leak that you are describing. You could have a loose connection of a water line on a tank or a valve. I don't have a service manual for that model of Hoover Power Steamer. You may be able to use the parts list diagram as a guide for accessing and checking the water line connections in the unit. Here is a link for the parts diagram: Hoover Power Steamer Model F5815 Repair Parts.

Be sure that your steamer is unplugged before accessing internal components.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the steamer, you can carry it into your nearest Sears Repair Center or Sears Store. Here is a link for the Sears Service website that has information about vacuum cleaner repair: Sears Home Services Vacuum Cleaner Repair.

Thank you for your question on the Hoover carpet cleaner motor.

The original Hoover motor is no longer available and any replacement motor may be too expensive to be cost effective to repair the cleaner.

The motor will have to be replaced as a complete assembly.

Because Hoover does not use the Hoover motor any long and have changed the motor vendor I would suggest having it serviced by a repair shop or replace it with a new one.

I can only provide you with an owner's manual and not a repair manual.

Owner's manual for Hoover F5815 carpet cleaner ,
