Q:

Thermostat replacement for Whirlpool Dryer LEW0050PQ0 Whirlpool Residential dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to replace the thermostat in your dryer.

SAFETY THERMOSTATS

A pair of safety thermostats is located on the dual element housing. One is a manual reset thermostat, (302°F (150°C)), and the other is a self-resetting thermostat (194°F (90°C)).

1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.

2. Pull the dryer away from the wall so that you can access the rear of the unit.

3. Remove the four outer screws from the heater and thermostat access panel and remove the panel. NOTE: Do not remove the two heater screws on the access panel. They secure the heating elements and thermostats to the panel.

4. To remove the safety thermostats:
a) Remove the two screws from the thermostat bracket and remove the bracket.
b) Remove the wire connectors from the thermostat you are servicing.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand your concern with programming the Homelink system to the garage door opener. We are here to help. I provided a video that shows how to program the trucks homelink. However, if your HomeLink programming was unsuccessful, you may need a HomeLink Repeater Kit. That will allow your garage door opener to be compatible with HomeLink. I hope this helps.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

I bought the garage door opener under the impression it would pair up because your product (craftsman) said it would work with the home link and I paid allot for the opener, why do I have to pay 40.00 dollars up to 60.00 to buy a repeater, when I already paid for the upgrades that should have made it compatible for the door opener so I would have that benefit and a few others, it would be nice if the manufacturer or someone would give me the part or help with the cost to make this work with my home link in my 2004 truck . Can you please help me figure out a cheaper way to make it work, or maybe a different solution, thanks for your time.

From the HomeLink FAQ Section - What is a Repeater and why would I need one? - The HomeLink Repeater Kit is designed to allow compatibility between a newer Chamberlain, Sears Craftsman, or LiftMaster garage door opener fitted with a yellow antenna wire and the HomeLink system in your vehicle. These garage door openers were manufactured in 2011 or later. If your opener does not have a yellow antenna wire or is not one of the brands listed above, please consider purchasing a Universal Receiver to ensure compatibility. - @ - http://www.homelink.com/faqs
