Thank you for your question. I know it's frustrating when the refrigerator stops cooling. If it is cooling a little in both sections, it will indicate the compressor is running. If there is not a thick frost accumulation on the back wall in the freezer and if the fan motor in the back of the cabinet next to the compressor is running, this will lead to a sealed system problem. A technician will be required to make this type of check and repair. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this will help you.

I'll just have to replace the unit... It's over 10 years old, and it will most likely end up costing more to get the work done than the old piece of junk is worth. It seems to me that the cheaper refrigerators are made anymore the more worthless the knowledge of repair is becoming I appreciate your help, I really do, but as soon as the words sealed system failure that basicly means that I'm ordering a new one... I guess if it were a subzero brand it would be worth fixing, or something high dollar like that, but for the most part it is most likely going to cost at least half of what a new one would run... Plus you can't hardly get parts for less than $50 a piece... Thank you very much sir your knowledge is greatly appreciated by me, and I for one wish the companies putting out these machines would make a quality product so that it would be worth repairing.
