Front Wheel cracked off!! help ET8CHMXKQ05 Whirlpool Top-mount refrigerator ET8CHMXKQ05

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your fridge and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number et8chmxkq05 and the caster is held in place with the pin item 6 in the diagram. Item 21 in the diagram does not hold the caster in place but is used for adjusting the height on the fridge.  For removing the caster you will need to lift the fridge on some blocks. The pin will come out of the spot it is in. The pin needs to be aligned with the opening it is in so that the pin will slide out with out any problems. I hope  this information helps with your repair. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Front Wheel cracked off!! help ET8CHMXKQ05 Whirlpool Top-mount refrigerator

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number ET8CHMXKQ05  and you will need to slightly lift up the fridge and place a wood block or something will give you enough room to work in. There are no screws holding the wheel in place. The screw you see in front is for adjusting the height. The caster has a pin/bolt that wil come out to the left. You may need to gently tap the rivot out of its place for removal.  If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.
