Question and Answers

Q:

Does Model ET22DQRDW00 have a water filter? ET22DQRDW00 Whirlpool Refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

This model of Whirlpool refrigerator did not come equipped with an internal water filtration system. Not to say you couldn't add an in-line water filter to it, but there is no internal water filter.

For convenience, I have included a couple of the Whirlpool in-line water filters below as blue links that you may click on to be directed to Sears.com to view them. There are many variations of the filters that you can see on Sears.com, but these are two of the more popular ones:

Whirlpool 4378411RB In-Line Refrigerator Ice and Water Filter

Whirlpool Whirlpool 4392949 Refrigerator Water Filter In-Line with Fittings

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

Where is the ice dispenser switch on parts list diagram for my refrigerator?

A:

The wiring diagram below shows the colors of the wire for the switch that controls the dispenser auger motor. It has Blue/Black (BL/BK) and Blue (BL) wires connected to it. The other image shows the parts list diagram. Key 19 shows 2 light switches. One of these switches controls the cavity light. It will have Blue/Black and Yellow/Black (Y/BK) wires connected to it. The other one will be the ice dispenser switch.

NOTE: Be sure to unplug the refrigerator to disconnect electrical power before accessing any internal components.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

Q:

Why does my refrigerator continue dispensing ice when the lever is released?

A:

Most likely the ice dispenser switch is sticking closed and not opening once the ice dispenser cradle is released or the cradle is sticking inwards and not returning back to the normal position. It may need the ice dispenser switch. If not, locate the cause of the cradle sticking. Check the return spring that causes the ice dispenser cradle to return back to the normal position. Check for any broken lever bearing or cradle.

It is not the fault of the delay, solenoid, dispenser motor or the door mechanism. The ice dispenser switch or cradle is sticking causing the ice to keep dispensing.
