A:

Replacing a rear wheel will vary depending on the model. Unfortunately without a model number, I'm not able to access any information about your refrigerator. Some model will have screws holding the wheels and some can have rivets. For specific information, a complete model number will be needed.

Hi Scott - I have a similar model (#ET1FTEXMT00 Whirlpool Top-mount refrigerator) with a broken back wheel. It appears that my appliance store sold me a front wheel (it has a bracket attached to the wheel). Can you tell me if the front and back wheels are different? I hate to try this repair and find out I have the wrong part. Thank you.

it is very difficult to remove the pin holding the rear wheel. I did the following: 1. put the old wheel together and traced it on a piece of 3/4 inch plywood 2 cut the wheel on a band saw and drilled a hole in the center to fit the pin.(use old wheel as guide) 3 cut the wheel thru the center to create 2 halves ( draw a thin line at the cut line so will assemble both halves correctly) 4 lift refrigerator so wheel is 2-3 inches off the floor on a 2x4 5 apply a very good wood glue to both halves of the wheel and join them together after placing them around the pin. 6 clamp together for 24 hours. 7 since I only roll it out twice a year to vacuum it has held up well
