Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

It sounds like the door gasket isn’t sealing properly. I would do the dollar bill check. Get a crisp dollar bill and place in between the door and the unit. Close the door and try to pull the dollar out, if it come out too easy then the gasket needs replaced.

Make sure you go all around the door to check the whole gasket. Also check for visual cracks and tears in the gasket itself.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thank you for responding. I noticed the fan is not working but the compressor is working I guess.i hear and feel a little cool air. I am trying a new motor for fan. Inexpensive fix to try. I can check if power is going to fan motor. Have to empty out freezer to get into where the fan is. Have to find a place to put all of the food. May take a few days.

Q:

Door opening for Electrolux fridge EI23CS55GS1

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Electrolux refrigerator model EI23CS55GS1. It is okay to leave the doors open if the refrigerator has been disconnected from the power source. Otherwise the light bulbs will burn out. Also keep in mind that the refrigerator can still be affected by power surges that come through the electricity while it is plugged in. Leaving the doors open allows the interior to dry completely, thus preventing the development of mold in the refrigerator.

If the refrigerator is not going to be unused for an extended period of time, I recommend removing the doors. This precaution prevents the risk of someone being trapped inside.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
