You can melt the ice in the chute with a hair dryer. It is best to remove the icemaker while defrosting the ice. Turn the refrigerator off while melting the ice to prevent frosting over the evaporator coil.

The cause of the chute freezing is usually the water valve not turning off completely. You should probably replace the water valve.

If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.

Thank you for your question. It's nice to know the size of your refrigerator. The information you have received for the owner's manual is good. This is a 25 cubic ft. side by side model. The dimensions are not listed. To determine the dimensions, you will need to use a tape measure to measure the cabinet. The serial number will be needed to determine the age of the unit. I recommend checking with a store that sells used appliances and check for a 25 cubic foot side by side with ice and water to help determine a price. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
