Thank you for your question. The evaporator motor in this model should cycle on and off with the compressor. If the fan motor is running, it's ok. Try adjusting the refrigerator control (thermostat) to a warmer setting. This is the control that operates the compressor. This should bring the temperature in the freezer back up to normal between 0 and 5 degrees. If it does not, then the thermostat # 2198202 will need to be replaced. If the temperature in the fridge section gets too warm now, the freezer control, which controls the air flow, will need to be adjusted to a warmer setting.
