Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

Form what you have said the air baffle is not operational. The baffle is in the refrigerator left side behind the control. The knob you turn on the refrigerator left hand side is connected by a rod to the slider of the air baffle. When you turn the knob the baffle opens more or less depending on which direction the knob is turned. Here are some picture of the little panel that covers the rod to the baffle. Remover the panel and see if the rod is going back and forth and the baffle is opening.
