Water Overflows out of Ice Maker ED25PQXDW01 Whirlpool Refrigerators

Q:

Replacing Door Chute ED25PQXDW01 Whirlpool Refrigerators

A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to replace the door chute in your refrigerator.

To access the ice chute, follow these steps:

Unplug the refrigerator to completely disconnect electrical power.1

Remove the drip tray from the bottom of the dispenser.2

Pull the front cover (Key 23 in the image below) off of the dispenser. You may see 2 screws at the bottom of this cover when you pull the drip tray out. If not, then the cover is held on by clips. Pry out on the bottom of the cover to release the clips and snap the cover off of the dispenser.3

Pull the 2 screws (Key 22) out of the control bracket (Key 15) and pull this component outward. It will have wires attached to it.4

With the control bracket pulled out, you should have room to remove and replace the door chute.
