I have a EB10B electric furnace and have a question

I know how important it is to have as much useful information about your appliance as possible so that it is easier to find replacement parts and part numbers. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find a link in where you can enter your model number and the owners manual from the Manage My Life website. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. I understand that your Coleman furnace is not heating properly and I can understand how frustrating that must be.

If you replaced the thermostat and the furnace is operating erratically it could be that the thermostat was not wired properly, or is not compatible with your furnace. Not all digital thermostats will work with all types of furnaces. In order to assist you further I have a few questions for you.

  1. What is the model number of the digital thermostat you are trying to use?
  2. When you say it works sometimes and other times it does not work, would you be able to elaborate on that? Does it heat like it should when it is running, but sometimes it is supposed to run and it does not?
  3. If you can access the wire terminals on the thermostat, can you tell me what color wires are connected to the G, W and RH terminals? Since you said it is heat only, there should be no wires connected to the Y terminal.
  4. Also, this unit usually comes with a Blend Air Control Box. If there is one there, could you tell me what wire colors are connected to its terminals? There should be 4 wires to that box.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician complete this repair, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
