Question and Answers

Q:

My Electrolux icon side by side fridge and freezer won't cool down!!!!

A:

The refrigerator not cooling can be very problematic. I did some research but was not able to find a solution. Your expert will be able to help give you a detailed answer. To better help your expert, I would like to suggest adding the full model number of the refrigerator. It may take 24-48 hours for your expert to reply. I do hope that everything works out with the refrigerator. I added below for service in case you would like to take that route.

Thanks for the inquiry about the temperatures and the frost build up. I will be glad to assist with this.
Based on the description of the frost inside the freezer one day but not the next is an unusual occurrence.

If there is a frost build up on the freezer back panel one of two things can cause this. The defrost system has failed, or a door has been left partly open allowing warm air to inter the unit. If warm air has entered, and the defrost system is working this frost on the panel may go away, however frost behind the pane that stops air flow will remain until the refrigerator is manually defrosted. (Unplug with doors open for a minimum of 8 hours,) I recommend trying the defrosting based on the description.
I hope this helps, if you need additional assistance reply with more details and a complete model number.

Thanks Ron H.
