Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

Without being able to see this for myself, I assume you are talking about the Bearing slide (# 316 in the link below). Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

How do I replace a GE timer with a different new one that has one more wire?

A:

The model number that you submitted in your question (DWXR463GE1WW) appears to be slightly off. The G and the E apparently are transposed. I suspect that you have model DWXR463EG1WW. This model of dryer uses GE timer part number WE4M366. I recommend that you check your model number and the part number on the timers to make sure that you have the correct part. The replacement timer should be the same as the original timer. I provided the wiring diagram for your dryer in the image below. If you are certain that you have the correct replacement timer, this document should help you wire the new timer.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details regarding the difference in wires. You can also send us digital pictures of the timers and wiring if necessary.
