Error Code:

Question and Answers

we have a whirlpool dishwasher=du929pfgb1= with the touchpad locked, the manuel said that there is an error code indicating that there is a stuck button,

I know that it can be difficult when your appliances are working properly. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I was able to do some research on the unit. If the control lock light is flashing this error for the stuck button. That means one of two parts has failed, the keypad or the control board. The only way to know which one it is, is to open up the panel and test the parts. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If a key without an LED is stuck or multiple keys are stuck, the control will flash the LOCK-OUT LED. You would have to disconnect the ribbon connector and test each button function with an Ohm meter. For example to check the NORMAL wash button you would have to place one Ohm meter lead on P1-13 and the other meter lead on P1-4 and then press and hold the NORMAL key pad and check the meter to see if shows continuity. NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply before accessing and testing the user interface operation.

If the control lock LED is on, all the keys of the keyboard will be disabled. The CONTROL LOCK feature (and LED) can be turned on or off at any time by holding down the AIR DRY option key for 4 seconds or until the lock LED turns off.

If you are not able to take the control out of control lock; the control panel would have to be replaced, however the control panel/user interface is NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
