dishwasher inoperative DU920PFGB2 Whirlpool Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dishwasher is not working properly.

When there is no power, the causes may be the following;

No power to the unit or bad connection.
Loose connection in power up circuit between keypad and control.
Door switch not making contact.
Blown TCO (thermal fuse).
Multiple open or shorted circuits in the keypad.
Faulty control.

Check the fuse resistance.  If it is open, replace the fuse.

A:

Your dishwasher does not have an individual timer. You'd have to replace the main control board part number 8530929 priced at $117.99. Before replacing the control, one trick to try is to put the drain hose into a bucket and see if the dishwasher drains any better. If the drain line is clear then I suspect the drain impeller is stripped. The image below will help you access the drain impeller to check and replace it. Check the inside for any obstructions.
