Question and Answers

Q:

Dishwasher start button won't work on a whirlpool DU1345XTVQ2

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

First I must assume none of the LED'S are flashing.

The problem could be the "Start" switch itself on the control panel. The "Start" switch on the control panel can be tested using an Ohm meter. The ribbon connector on the control board will need to be disconnected and the positive Ohm meter lead will need be connected to P1-12 and the negative Ohm meter lead connected to P1-4 and then press the "Start" pad. If it does not measure continuity when pushed, the control panel should be replaced first. If it does measure continuity, the control board should be replaced.

I added an image below to reference how to check the key pad/control panel.

NOTE: Disconnect the power supply to the dishwasher before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
