Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your dishwasher not starting. We are here to help. Priscilla did provide you a good link on this problem. I suspect the control console keypad is going bad. I provided you a test on the image below to verify that. The part number for the console is W10142945 for a black console. The part number for the white console is W10142946. The second image has the instructions on, how to replace the console. I hope this helps.

Terry, The first image show how to get into diagnostic mode. It is just heated dry- normal wash-heated dry- normal wash. All the light will light up. The second image show how to check the wire connections. The console needs to be opened up as show on the image above. You would need a multimeter to perform the tests on the second image.

Q:

Why would all the lights stay on and not change on my dishwasher?

A:

The likely failure is the control panel; however it could be the control board. I added a portion of the technical data sheet in the image below. You will need an ohm meter to be able to check the key pad operation. I added the information needed in the image below. If the control panel tests OK, replace the control board, if it fails, replace the control panel.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher.
