I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with the dishwasher. It is possible that over time there could be a build up inside the vent that is preventing the steam from coming out. I would recommend that you try this first. To access this vent, shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher to completely disconnect electrical power and then follow the steps in the image below to remove the console from the front of the dishwasher. Once that console is released, you should be able to access and clean that vent. The vent parts are #5, 6, and 7 on the parts diagram below. If this does not work, then I would recommend that your replace the vent. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
