Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The best thing to have done is to let GE complete the repair. Based on your symptom it sounds like it has faulty control panel or PCB.

The first thing to check is the CN13 connector on the main PCB. Disconnect the CN13 connector which connects the membrane switch to the main PCB and then reconnect the CN13 connector. Check the CN13 harness for any loose or broken wires. It's possible that it was not making a good connection. If the push buttons on the membrane switch continue to not accept any commands, it could have a faulty membrane switch or PCB control. The control panel assembly comes with the membrane switch. NOTE: Be sure to disconnect the dryer from the power supply before accessing and checking the CN13 connections.

I added an image below and I circled the CN13 connector inside the red circle. I also added the instructions for placing the unit in the test procedure which is intended for the service technician.

Roger: Voltage measurements will need to be performed using the wire diagram in the image above I posted in my last response to Charlette. NOTE; I do not recommend measuring any voltages unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so; otherwise I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dryer. Roger: Voltage measurements will need to be performed using the wire diagram in the image above I posted in my last response to Charlette. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.
