Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

Three common things to cause a belt to slip and break listed not in any order would be the idler is not keeping the correct tension on the pulley.  The pump had something lock the impeller up and this burned the belt and the washer was overloaded causing pressure on the belt.
