Dryer problems for the New Year is not something you were looking for. I located a similar question from a previous expert post that has some possible causes, but the model number is different. It may help while you wait for the expert. If you decide you prefer to have an expert diagnose and make repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the handy scheduler. I attached the links below. Hope this helps!

One thing to check if you have a meter and are comfortable using it is the voltage under a load while the dryer tries to start. Use caution doing this.

Check the voltage where the dryer is plugged on while someone pushes the start button. If the voltage drops then that might be the problem and not the motor.

If the voltage is okay then the motor is most likely at fault.

Give me a reply with what you find and we'll try to assist you further. If you have no meter then well try and find another way to check this problem.

This linkage also has to travel off a switch to the side of it with an arm that comes off the switch. I was able to put some dielectric grease on the shaft an get the linkage to stop hanging up for several weeks but has stopped working again. Any remedies for this (other than taking it to the landfill) would be greatly
