Question and Answers

Q:

LG dryer not heating up DLE2301R

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your LG dryer.

From the information you have provided above, it can be a couple of parts that may need replacing. I would suggest checking the thermostats in the dryer and also the heater assembly,. These two parts will cause the issue with not blowing any hot air. More common part to cause this would be the thermostats but check both parts to be on the safe side.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

Replacement bulb DLE2301R Lg Dryer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there are parts needed for the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your LG Ddryer model number  DLE2301R.

First thing for safety and concerns to keep dryer running well is to check the lint screen and vent of air flow going out of the house.   If clogged up it could cause heating problems on any dryer.

To prevent a Blocked Vent Hood, once a year:

1.  Clean any lint blockage from the exhaust vent hood.
2.  Make sure the vent hood flappers move freely.
3.  Check for screen/grate openings that allow bird or rodent nests.
4.  Replace exhaust vent hood if damaged.
5.  Check for good air flow while running the dryer.
Note: Poor airflow or decreased airflow indicates further vent system cleaning is needed.

Sorry but the stores would not carry these light bulbs in stock.   Please click on the link below and you can order the light bulb very easily.

If there is no display then there is a likely problem with one of the DC voltage circuits. There is a way to check this problem by disconnecting the various connectors on the control one by one and see if the display lights will come on.

Based off of your description, you could be experiencing an issue with the main cotrol board or wiring. Check the outlet where the washer is plugged in to make sure it's functioning properly. If the washer will not power on, I recommend service. You can schedule for service online with our

I've cleaned the lint screen. This is a new installation location, so haven't ever run it at this new location, so the vent issue won't be known until I can at least get it running once. Tell me more about checking the DC voltage circuits. Where are those accessed and can you send the wiring diagram. I saw it on the website, but can't print it at scale from that message and therefore can't read it. Also, the other responses talk about the contacts on the door. The door shuts and the interior light in the drum goes off. Is that sufficient indication that the door is functioning properly? Or is there something else to check there? Thanks, Mark
