Q:

How to replace the electronic boards in my Danby Beer kegmodel #DKC645BLS DKC645BLS Danby Beer keg

Q:

Code LE flashing on control pannel DKC645BLS Danby Beer keg

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your beer keg is displaying an error code. I did look into the model number you have provided, and I have found information to assist you.

The LE error code indicates a communication error between the display board and the main board. The LE may be in the touch pad which gets moisture in the membreane and causes the pad to quit responding. The error can be solved by simply disconnecting the molex plugs from the boards, straightening out the pins and reinstalling. If that does not work then you will need a new main board or touch pad.

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your cooler and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number DKC645BLS and from your description it seems like a failed control board. Disconnecting and then reconnecting the power resets the board. Q:

danby kegerator compressor short cycling DKC645BLS Danby Beer keg

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear of the short cycling issue you are experiencing with the compressor on the Danby Kegerator, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.

A short cycling compressor can be caused from the following:

  • A defective thermostat
  • A weak overload
  • Condenser motor fails
  • Clogged condenser coil
  • The compressor itself

Check the coil to see if it's clogged and you can also check to see if the motor next to the compressor is running.

The overload is a safety device that will shut off the compressor if the amperage is too high, it gets too hot, or if the compressor has a hard time starting.

If the thermostat (sensor) is defective, it could also cause the compressor to short cycle. Lastly, a defective compressor itself could cause the issue.

Without going through the system with a multimeter, it will be hard to trace out the root of the issue. We would recommend to have a service technician assist with the diagnosis.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

Q:

EE on tepm gauge DKC645BLS Danby Beer keg

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com. I am sorry to hear of the error you are receiving on the Danby Beer Keg, I know how frustrating that is.

An EE error code means that you have loose connections at the temperature sensor. You will need to check all the wires for any loose connections at the temperature touch pad and the unit's main control board.

The control board is in the back of the unit. There is a panel covering in the middle-lower back section, near the compressor. Inside the unit on the left side in the lower rear there's a vented piece of plastic, gently pry that off and that's the temperature sensor. Make sure all the connections are tight and secure. If the error does not clear then your temperature sensor is faulty and will need to be replaced.

If by chance you need a replacement temperature sensor, I have included a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to the PartsDirect page to view and purchase the part.
