Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Since the wash motor is starting and running, it could have faulty wash motor, jammed wash motor or it could have a faulty electronic control board.

In order to diagnose if it has faulty wash motor or control board will require measuring the voltage supply at the wash motor across the white and blue wires.  Note: I do not recommend making any voltage measurements unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so, otherwise I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher.

If you do not measure any voltage, the control board is most likely faulty. If you do measure 110-120 volts, the wash motor is faulty. Parts for model DGBD2432KF1 can be looked up and ordered at Searspartsdirect.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.

Do I press both Normal and High temp keypads or just one?

A:

We become so used to having our dishwashers, it is upsetting when problems occur and not working properly. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question. I found your owner's manual for your Dishwasher, you can also visit SearsHomeServices.com website to set service with a Sears technician. I attached the links below. I can understand your confusion. When using the Heavy Wash cycle it will default to the Hi-Temp wash option meaning the Hi-Temp option will automatically be provided and Sanitize will be optional.

When using the Normal Wash cycle you have the choice of selecting and using the Hi-Temp option or the Sanitize option.

If air dry is selected, meaning no heated dry, the LED above Air Dry will be illuminated. If the Air Dry LED is not lit, Heated Dry is activated.

I recommend selecting Normal wash and the Hi-temp option.

From the description of the problem your having I suggest you select and run a High Temp Wash cycle. You can also select Heated Dry by pushing that keypad.

This cycle and option will give you the best chance of having clean and dry dishes.

You must have rinse agent in the dispenser for the dishes to be dry.

You say the door and walls have moisture on them. This is normal for a plastic tub dishwasher. Plastic will not dry well. Any plastic dishes will also not dry well.

What primarily dries the dishes is getting them very hot in the water heat cycle. At the end of the rinse cycle if you were to open the door the dishes should be almost to hot to pick up.

If the dishes are not drying then the problem is most likely with the water heat.

Rinse agent must be used as well.

The plastic sides of the dishwasher will never be dry.

Try the High Temp wash and see if there is any improvement. You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
