The refrigerator not working can be very concerning. I found some information on page 5 of the owners manual. There is a small troubleshooting section. I am hoping that this will help you until your expert answers your question. I added the link below. I also added a link for service in case you would like to take that route. It may take 24-48 hours for your expert to respond. I do hope everything works out with the refrigerator.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the refrigerator. If the unit is not running at all but the light does work, it means there is power to the fridge. This will mean the problem will either be with the thermostat or the defrost timer. Sometimes turning the thermostat all the way off and then back on will free a stuck contact or tapping on the thermostat and the unit will start running again. In this case, the thermostat (# DFF9100.90.D) would need to be replaced. Now, it is possible this thermostat may no longer be available. If the unit still won't run, try turning the timer knob clockwise. If the fridge starts running now, the timer (# DFF9100.09.I) will need to be replaced. Both of these parts will be located in the control housing. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
