Reattaching start dryer knob

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

You will need a new start switch. You may need to replace the console assembly too if the tab is broken that keeps the start switch in place or the new start switch may not stay in place. If the stem is not broken on the start knob you should be able to reuse the start knob.

The start switch is part #WE4M519 and the console is part#WE19M1492. If you need the start knob it is part #WH01X10460 which can be ordered from Sears PartsDirect .

It appears that you can access the switch by removing the cover on the back side of the console. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the rear cover.
