Q:

wiring diagram for DBSR453EB2WW DBSR453EB2WW

A:

Thank you for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com. This question has been presented before and a colleague of mine had posted the diagram. However, it was uploaded in a smaller form that is very hard to visually look at and read.

I am going to pull up my internal sources and see if I can locate the wiring diagram to be able to post in a much larger version for you, but it may take a little bit to find and source. In the meantime, I have pasted the original upload into this post so at least you have something. Thanks for your patience and I will upload the document as soon as I have it.

If you have any further questions or inquiries, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

The diagram is often placed inside the unit, on the side of the cabinet. Look for a small envelope, taped to the side or placed between two pieces of the frame.

Jack, as promised, I was able to get my hands on an enlarged wiring diagram for you. Due to the size of the document, I have had to attach it as a thumbnail attachment below. If you are viewing this response on SearsPartsDirect.com, you may not be able to see the attachment, so I request you copy and past the URL into your internet browser to be able to see it.

Thank you for your patience on this, I know how critical it is to have the visuals you need to troubleshoot. If you have any further questions or inquires, please don't hesitate to ask, thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thank you for the response, the URL is within the address bar at the top and starts with http://....., you would just need to copy and paste it into Google Chrome. It depends on what site you are viewing this message at. If your at SearsPartsDirect, for some reason, attachments don't show up. I work off of ManageMyLife.com, which will show the attachment. For convenience, just click the blue link below and it will direct you to ManageMyLife.com to view the attachment. Sorry for the confusion.

Q:

GE Dryer DBSR453Eb2WW takes twice as long to dry clothes

A:

A dryer is an appliance we depend on so much, when there's laundry to be done.  I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I provided is helpful. Have a nice day!

Thanks. I reset the breakers from my house but the dryer wasn't connect to any of them. The dryer was still running while all breakers were switched off. Thought that was strange. I unplugged dryer and replug back in. Will monitor now. Since it does heat but not well, do you think its likely has a faulty thermal fuse? It takes twice as long to dry clothes.

Thanks for the information about your dryer model DBSR453Eb2WW, I will be glad to assist you with the issue. Based on your description of the problem this sounds like a classic venting issue that is very common. Try this, get behind the dryer and remove the vent hose that is attached to the dryer vent pipe. Set the dryer on high heat with a standard load of clothes. If the clothes dry in a normal amount of time the problem is with your vent system going to outside your home and not the dryer. If the dryer is producing heat this is normally the problem, if there is no heat at all there could be other issues. Try this tip and let me know the results, if you need additional help I will be happy to reply. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.Ron H.
