Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your oven. Upon researching model CWE5800ACB; it sounds like the control board is not activating the element on the upper oven. The control board sends the appropriate voltage to the element to activate it, when the control board fails it can cause one or more of the features to become unresponsive.

Q:

Control panel is blank and 240 volt power to controller is on CWE5800ACB25 Maytag 24

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the blank display. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

It does look like this has been researched and resolved by the manufacturer. Maytag is recommending to use part number 7601M286-60, which has since subbed into part number W10201915. This is the same part number that's used in model CWE5800ACB25. Based upon that, the board should work as a replacement to the original.

In situations where there is a substitution part, it could differ slightly from the original as far as connections. Sometimes slight fabrication is needed to make it functional. We would recommend having a service technician assist with the replacement of the board if any of those conditions arise.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
