I looked at parts research on this cook top. Since the replacement knob will not fit the shaft of the fan switch that is currently installed on that cook top, you will probably need to replace that fan switch. It appears that you will probably need the switch that is part number 74007636. The actual switch listed for that cook top in the parts diagram is 74009254. That switch 74009254 is less expensive. That control knob should fit one (or possibly both) of those fan switches. If you try replacing that fan switch with one of the above parts and the knob does not fit, then it should fit the other switch. According to the limited information that I see regarding this cook top, the knob is more likely to fit part 74007636. I provided some access information for the switches on this cook top in the image below. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the cook top before accessing internal components.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and the serial number of your cook top. The serial number is sometimes needed on Jenn Air appliances to indicate which revision of that model that you have.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The fan switch should have a stem protruding up and the stem of the knob would fit over the stem of the fan switch. If there is no stem to slide the new knob over then I must assume the stem has been broken off the fan switch or it was pulled out along with the knob.

I added an image below with the basic instructions. If youre not able to access and replace the fan switch following the instructions provided I recommend calling service. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply before servicing the cook top.
