Sidney - What you are describing is a security screw, sometimes called a 'one way' screw. A special tool is needed to remove them without damage.

Thanks for the question about the screws holding the condenser fan motor in place.
I can find no details matching the screw you are describing. I have removed and replaced this condenser fan motor many times and have not seen any screw other that a 5/16 hex head that can be removed with a socket or nut driver of that size. (I have in a few cases seen � inch hex head used)

If you are referring to screws that hold motor together, I have no access to those as the motor is considered non-serviceable (unless it has oil ports installed).

If you can send a picture of the screw I may be able to give you more advice.
